are at least three known coats of arms for the Petts family and three
crests.
The
crest for Pett's family of Kent
Out
of a ducal coronet, or, a demi-pelican, wings expanded.
The
crest for the Pett's family of Surrey and London
A
demi-greyhound, sable collard (charged on body with two bendlets, between
as many fern branches)
The
coat of Arms granted to Peter Pett (died 1589)
Granted
in 1583; pictured below.
Or, on a fess gules between three ogresses, a lion
passant of the field or (pictured top left). The crest out of a ducal
coronet, or, a demi-pelican with wings expanded (below).
